Stroke recovery does not improve with occasional therapy alone. It needs daily structure, trained supervision, and consistent follow-through. At our care home, rehabilitation becomes part of the resident’s routine, not a once-a-week session.
When someone joins us after a stroke, our clinical team first conducts a detailed assessment. We review mobility, speech, cognition, swallowing ability, and overall strength. Based on this, we create a personalised recovery plan.
Physiotherapists work on balance, strength, gait training, and spasticity management. Occupational therapists focus on daily tasks like dressing, grooming, and safe transfers. Speech therapists help with communication and swallowing challenges. Nurses monitor vitals, manage medications, prevent pressure sores, and ensure safe mobilisation around the clock.
Nutrition plans support healing, with texture-modified meals when needed. If respiratory support is required, we provide supervised breathing therapy.
Recovery takes time and varies by individual. Our role is to provide a safe, clinically guided environment where progress remains steady and realistic. Through coordinated care and daily supervision, we support residents in rebuilding confidence and regaining functional independence.
